OnCareerSuccess Inc. (“OCS”) respects the privacy and preferences of its members, clients and visitors (the “users”). OCS is committed to protecting the personal data of its users.


This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected from or about users of our website, educational webinars, coaching services, promotional ads, and other services offered by OCS. This Privacy Policy describes how and when OCS collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our products, resources, services and website.

1. What Type of Information Does OCS Collect?


There are several ways we may collect information from or about you, including through (A) information you provide to us directly; and (B) information that we automatically or passively collect.


A. Information You Provide


The personal identifiable information collected by OCS may include:

  • Identity Data includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier.

  • Contact Data includes billing address, home address, email address, fax number, and telephone number(s)

  • Financial Data such as credit card number and other payment information. Please note we do not retain credit card information.

We may also collect information about you such as:

  • Profile Data:

    (i) If you create an account – your username, password, and other demographic information that you provide; or

    (ii) If you take a survey or interact with us in various other ways – demographics information that you provide and information about subjects that may interest you; or

    (iii) If you connect your account to another service such as LinkedIn or Twitter, the other service may send us your registration or profile information on that service that you authorize. This information enables cross-platform data sharing to improve your user experience.

  • Transaction Data - If you purchase from OCS – what educational webinars or coaching services you buy, and how frequently you buy.

  • Marketing and Communication Data includes your preferences as to whether you are happy to receive marketing data from us.

 

B. Information We Automatically Collect

 

Whenever you visit or interact with the site, we, as well as any third-party advertisers and/or service providers, may use cookies, web beacons, local shared objects (such as Flash Cookies), or other technologies to automatically or passively collect information about your online activity and website use information. 2. How Does OCS Use Information About You?


OCS may use the information we collect from and about you for a variety of business purposes, including to:

  • Communicate with you about your orders, purchases, accounts, and requests for information.

  • Provide you with information about products and services we offer (if you agree to receive such information).

  • Our Affiliates: We may share your information with our contributors, coaches, and partners to provide products and/or services to you, take payment for them, collect and recover money owed to us, and to keep records of our dealings with you for business, operational, promotional and marketing purposes.

  • Third Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third party service providers that provide business, professional or technical support functions for us (including to the extent necessary or desirable to fulfill or ship your order or complete your transaction), help us operate our business and the website, or administer activities on our behalf. Examples of such third parties include, but not limited to merchant banks for credit card authorizations, collection agencies, customer service companies, and market research companies.

  • School: If you access our content through a partnership OCS may have with academic or occupational-training institutions such as your school or university, we may share personally-identifiable information about your membership or type of services used with your school in accordance with any contractual requirements to enable us to give you the best service and products. We do not share this information with any outside entities other than the organizations in your school.

  • Selected Advertisers: We may in the future work with advertisers or other third parties to serve ads targeted to your interests, or to collect data for conversion tracking (that is, what actions you take after you click on an ad).

  • Legal Obligations; Safety: We may access and disclose your information to respond to subpoenas, judicial processes, or government requests and investigations, or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law, or otherwise as required by law. We may disclose your information to protect the security of our site, servers, network systems, and databases. We also may disclose your information as necessary, if we believe that there has been a violation of our Terms and Condition of Use, any other legal document or contract related to our services, or the rights of any third party.

4. How Long is Personal Information Retained For?

Thereafter, we will either delete your personal information or de-identify it so that it is anonymous and not attributed to your identity.

OCS has put in place appropriate physical, technical and administrative security to help prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of personal information. In addition, OCS’s website hosting company that hosts the OCS website maintains their appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access. OCS employees or contractors will only access personal information for a business need such as providing customer service support in connection with OCS products or services.

As an extra precaution, you should not share your password with anyone.
While we take these steps to protect your personal information as much as we reasonably can, no system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network, or any storage of data, can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that personal data that we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Signing in to your OCS account, if you have one, to manage your preferences and to update your personal information.

Please note that if you make any changes or update your account, these will be reflected in active user databases within a reasonable period of time; however, we may retain certain data when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

If you create an account to use OCS’s educational webinars, digital products, and coaching services as a visitor from outside the United States, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and you consent to the transfer and processing of all your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and United States data protection and privacy laws, which may not offer an equivalent level of protection to the laws in the European Union or certain other countries.

7. Does OCS Transfer Data Internationally?


OCS is an American company headquartered in the state of California. OCS’s current website hosting company is a global business and may maintain process, transfer, and store information about our users and services on servers located in a number of countries, including the United States of America, in Europe, in Israel and other jurisdictions that the website hosting company deems as necessary for the proper delivery of website hosting services. OCS relies on the website hosting company to provide adequate levels of protection. 8. Protection of Children


Membership on the OCS site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from persons under the age of 16. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a person younger than the age of 16, we will seek to delete that information from our databases.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use OCS’s products and services. If the applicable law in the country or state in which you are using OCS’s products or services requires that you be older than 16 to use the products or services, then you must be at least the minimum age legally defined for such country or state in order to use OCS products or services.
